Cold atom physics deals with the quantum properties of cold matter and has wide applications in the fields of precision measurement and quantum information. Over the past three decades, cold atom physics has remained a cutting-edge and interdisciplinary area in physics. The Cold Atom Physics Research Group is one of the earliest teams in China to engage in research on cold atom physics. In recent years, the group has conducted studies on coherent manipulation of atoms, neutral-atom quantum computing, equivalence principle tests using atom interferometry, as well as atomic interferometry inertial sensing technology and instrumentation. Currently, the research group consists of 17 staff, 11 postdoctoral researchers, and 42 graduate students.
冷原子物理涉及冷物质的量子性质，在精密测量和量子信息领域有广泛应用。近三十年来，冷原子物理一直是物理学的前沿和交叉领域。冷原子物理研究组是国内较早开展冷原子物理研究的团队之一。近年来，研究组开展了原子相干操控、中性原子量子计算、原子干涉等效原理检验、原子干涉惯性传感技术与仪器方面的研究。目前研究组拥有17名研究人员、11名博士后和42名研究生。
